The Brief
In this project, students are tasked to research and speculate the future scenario in a specific theme. Through identifying the attributes and pain points of the future, students will conceptualise, propose, and develop a speculative product or service to address the future problems encountered by future audience. Eventually, students will develop low-fi and hi-fi prototype to bring the speculative product or service to live through iterative process. At the end of the project, students will pitch the ideas in the class in structure presentations.

RESPONSE TO THE BRIEF
I selected "Food" as the theme of exploration for the speculation. In my speculation, food safety issues will arise and be the major concern of a large demographic owing to the elevating life quality. The idea of "farm to table" will be greatly appreciated. In response to it, I proposed a gamified city farming service that allows users to plant and process the produce with their phones. The actions taken in the app will be relayed to the greenhouses located on the roofs of building in the city and operated by robots. This piece focuses on the visual identity of the service and the potential ways to communicate with the audience appealingly.

Why do we need to address food issues in the future?
Is there any way to resolve food safety issues?
How do we ensure concerned target audience by crafting an experience-oriented service?
What can a designer do to propose a better future?

With these questions in mind, I began the project.
